Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Windmill, soak up the sass of the 30s with the beautiful dancers from J’Adore La Vie — French for ‘I love life’!
The 1930s was a time when fashion celebrated femininity and swing-beats got us tapping our feet. It was an exciting chapter in the Windmill’s history too, when Vivian Van Damm brought his pioneering tableaux vivants to the Windmill stage. The first fully nude stage performances in London, the tableaux vivants sparked a trend for racier, raunchier dance routines.
J’Adore La Vie are a dazzling dance duo helping us celebrate this bygone era with an irresistible mix of high-end cabaret and stunning haute couture. The duo consists of the beautiful Janet Mayer and Ami Benton, two highly experienced professional dancers and agency models who’ve been showcased in Vogue, The Savoy, Paris Fashion Week and the 70th Cannes Film Festival.
Now Janet and Ami have joined the ranks of the world-famous Windmill Girls and are heating up our historic stage with their popular residency show. This four-part spectacle of risqué burlesque, vintage 30s fashion, and an abundance of diamonds and feathers is guaranteed to get temperatures soaring, loins tingling and imaginations whirring!
